Meet the team behind our success

With over a decade of ethnographic research experience, Yushi led key initiatives at Steelcase focused on high growth markets, partnering with Chinese corporate leaders on strategy and enterprise innovation. His insights directly influenced the development of new product lines such as Navi TeamIsland and Diversal. After leaving Steelcase, he co founded EPIC China under the global Ethnographic Praxis in Industry (EPIC) community, continuing his mission to advance ethnographic research and expand the role and impact of qualitative insights in driving innovation across Chinese enterprises.

Jason Chen is a design researcher with nearly a decade of experience uncovering and applying insights across diverse industries. Formerly at IDEO, he led research initiatives that informed innovative solutions for companies in CPG, manufacturing, automotive, electronics, and digital experiences. With a background in human centered design and philosophy, Jason brings a nuanced and empathetic approach to complex challenges. His passion for mental health and well being has also led to published academic work, where he applies design research methods to deepen understanding and support for mental health.
